Who to register with:
Swim Central (the official Swimming Australia / Swimming Queensland portal).
What to do:
- Go to Swim Central and click Register for an account.
- Enter your email, personal details, and create a password.
- Confirm via email then log into your dashboard.
- From there you can join a club, buy memberships, enter events, and add family members (kids).
Use for:

✔ Official swim records
✔ School-registered competitive times
Young swimmers are added to a parent/guardian’s family group.
Swim Central is the national operating system for clubs and members, this online portal links all your interactions with swimming; including your swimming Club, your Region, Swimming Queensland and Swimming Australia!

You’re completely in control, with the flexibility to manage the activities of everyone in your family, regardless of swimming level or club.
You can organise your family’s memberships, meet entries and other product purchases all at the same time with no fuss using the shopping trolley functionality. Moreover, there is a Family Pin to keep things secure.
You can also find swim meets, other events and products for purchase, quickly and easily using the Finder functionality, or via the events calendar.
Miami Swimming Club (Competitive Club)
Who: Miami Swimming Club — one of the local competitive swimming clubs on the Gold Coast.
Where to register:
→ Join via Swim Central and then purchase Miami Swimming Club membership (membership products list Miami Swimming Club)
What it means:
Once registered and a member, swimmers can:
✔ Attend club training/squads
✔ Compete at club nights and meets
✔ Get official times for school events
✔ Progress to regional/state/national competitions
School Swimming
How it works:
School swim carnivals are usually organised through your child’s school.
Schools record times, but for official times you can submit to school, often quicker if the swimmer is entered in sanctioned events via club membership.
Where to register for school events:
Through your school’s sport coordinator.
Clubs often help with official qualifying times and registration in district/regional school meets.
